Arkansas Farm Bureau has announced the county-level winners of the 2021 Arkansas Farm Family of the Year program.
Now in its 74th edition, the Arkansas Farm Family of the Year Program serves to recognize farm families for their work and community impact, as well as highlight the importance of agriculture in local communities and around Arkansas. The program also serves an educational purpose, allowing Arkansas Farm Bureau to provide information on improved farm practices and management.
While the county-level winners have been selected, the district winners will be determined later. Judges will visit each farm family, and the district winners will be announced July 15.
An overall Arkansas Farm Family of the Year will be announced in December.
“Each year the Arkansas Farm Family of the Year program recognizes the outstanding farmers and ranchers who make up our state,” Arkansas Farm Bureau president Rich Hillman said in a statement. “These families are involved in essential work, not only providing food for my family and yours, but also serving as the ultimate stewards of the land and water resources.”
