Arkansas Game and Fish Commission
For over 100 years, the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission has been working with local and federal partners to conserve and enhance Arkansas’s fish and wildlife and their habitats while promoting sustainable outdoor recreation.
AGFC is proud of its role in helping to build and sustain Arkansas’s reputation as a destination for world-class fishing and hunting opportunities. But it is much more than a hook and bullet organization. The commission has worked with many local and federal partners over the years to build an extremely robust network of public use areas for hunters, anglers, paddlers, hikers, birders, naturalists, campers and for a wide range of other outdoor recreation pursuits. These investments continue to pay dividends for the quality of life and economic vitality of The Natural State. Beyond the commissions more well-known roles in the conservation of game species and public hunting and fishing access. The commission is a critical champion of conservation education, the leading resource for disaster response and the foremost advocate for the protection of rare species.
