Two new members have been elected to Today’s Power Inc.’s board of directors.
Mel Coleman and Diana Holmes – both affiliated with the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas – are the newest members of the board. They join the 10-member board, which is headed by board chairman Mark Cayce, the general manager and CEO of Ouachita Electric Cooperative. Coleman and Holmes succeed Leon Philpot, who recently retired from Rich Mountain Electric Cooperative, and Sean Holland, an Arkansas Valley Electric Cooperative director.
“It’s stressful losing experienced directors but the appointment of Mel and Diana who have provided valuable leadership at the local, state and national levels helps alleviate the stress of director turnover”, said Michael W Henderson, President of TPI. We are excited with the addition of Mel and Dianna to the TPI Board and look forward to their leadership and insights as TPI continues its growth.
Coleman is the chief executive officer for North Arkansas Electric Cooperative, as well as a director for the Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation and Arkansas Electric Cooperatives Inc. He previously served as president of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association and as director of the National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation.
He joined North Arkansas Electric Cooperative in 1988 and became CEO in 2001.
Holmes is the secretary-treasurer for the Mississippi County Electric Cooperative’s board of directors and is a director for the Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation and Arkansas Electric Cooperatives Inc. She has also served on the Federated Rural Electric Insurance Exchange board.
She has served as a director for the Mississippi County Electric Cooperative since 1996 and was named a director for the Arkansas Electric Cooperatives Inc. in 2019.
