CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs is preparing to unveil its newly renovated Anthony Childbirth Center. The grand opening for the childbirth center will be held on Monday, Dec. 2, at 10:30 a.m.
As part of the $3.5 million renovation, CHI St. Vincent has added 12 private birthing suites which are designed to keep mothers and their children together through the entire birthing process, from labor to delivery to postpartum and recovery.
In addition, the renovation has provided advanced patient monitoring, newborn bathing sinks with temperature controlled faucets and a new critical care nursery. Nurses at CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs are also set to receive advanced training through the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Nursery Alliance.
The Anthony Childbirth Center is located on the fourth floor of CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs. The center occupies a private wing on the fourth floor.
CHI St. Vincent phased out its labor, delivery and neonatal services at its Little Rock location in early 2019. According to CHI officials, the decision to discontinue labor and delivery services in Little Rock was made after determining that the city already had other hospitals providing labor and delivery services, including UAMS Medical Center and Baptist Health Medical Center.
