In October, CARTI will host Mammograms & Muffins to highlight the importance of early detection of breast cancer. The events, scheduled during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, are part of CARTI’s continued efforts to eliminate the barriers that often prevent women from undergoing lifesaving screenings.
“We understand the hesitation and challenges patients face when getting their annual mammograms,” said Dr. Stacy Smith-Foley, breast radiologist and founding physician at The Breast Center at CARTI. “That’s why we want to make it as easy, convenient and comfortable as possible, including by holding weekend events like Mammograms & Muffins.”
The Saturday events will take place from 8 a.m. to noon at the following CARTI Cancer Centers:
- Russellville: 209 South Portland Avenue on Oct. 15
- Little Rock: 8901 CARTI Way on Oct. 22
- North Little Rock: 3400 Springhill Drive on Oct. 29
Those interested in attending Mammograms & Muffins can complete the pre-registration forms here. If unable to participate, individuals may still self-select to have their yearly mammogram at The Breast Center by calling 501-537-MAMO or 833-323-MAMO.
