Armor Bank is expanding its presence in Northeast Arkansas by entering the Jonesboro market.
The Forrest City-based bank has tapped Brock Fletcher and Bryan Wagner to serve as market president and senior vice president of commercial lending and business development, respectively. Fletcher and Wagner will operate out of Armor Bank’s recently opened Jonesboro branch, located at 1814 Executive Square.
“Armor Bank is fortunate to have Brock Fletcher and Bryan Wagner join our talented team of client-focused bankers,” Chad May, Armor Bank CEO, said. “Their combined experience in banking and in the Jonesboro market will be instrumental in the growth of our franchise. Armor Bank is focused on delivering a great client experience, and I am confident that these two will deliver excellence to their client base.”
Fletcher, an 18-year veteran of the banking industry, is joining Armor Bank as market president. A Lake City native, Fletcher graduated from Arkansas State University and is currently a student at the LSU Graduate School of Banking.
Wagner brings 12 years of banking to Armor Bank in his role as senior vice president of commercial lending and business development. Wagner brings small business and ag-business experience to his role.
Hiring Wagner and Fletcher is Armor Bank’s latest move in expanding its Northeast Arkansas operations. In April, the bank acquired Tyronza Bancshares Inc., the parent company of First Delta Bank, and finalized the deal on July 2, 2019.
Arkansas Money & Politics previously reported that First Delta Bank branches are expected to operate independently until 2020, when they will transition to Armor Bank Branches.
“Armor Bank has taken great pride in serving eastern Arkansas customers for more than a century and we are delighted to welcome First Delta’s clients and its employees into the Armor family. First Delta has a longstanding tradition of being a true community banking partner in the markets that they serve,” May said in April.
Armor Bank has also made inroads into Central Arkansas in 2019. The bank opened its first branch in Little Rock in February.
