Arkansas Urology has launched a new foundation designed to raise funding and awareness for the organization throughout Arkansas.
The Arkansas Urology Foundation is expected to provide free men’s health screenings around the state, fundraise, promote Arkansas Urology’s services and build a board.
Led by Chris Shenep, the foundation is aimed at increasing Arkansans’ access to urological care, according to a company news release. The nonprofit will be encouraging early detection and treatment of prostate cancer.
“This is an exciting time of growth for Arkansas Urology across the state. We believe all men in Arkansas, regardless of cultural background, financial resources or proximity to care should have access to information, diagnosis and state of the art treatment,” Chris Shenep, Director of the Arkansas Urology Foundation and Marketing, said in a statement. “We have a lot of important priorities, business leaders who have signed up to help, and are excited to get the ball rolling.”
Shenep will be developing the AU Foundation Board, as well as the foundation’s staff.
