Arkansas Tourism has opened applications for its festival advertising grant program in February.
The grant is designed to bolster the advertising funds for festivals that are run by small cities and communities in Arkansas that have limited funds. To be eligible for the grant program, applicants must be incorporated cities with a population under 10,500 or an Arkansas county applying on behalf of a community with a population under 10,500.
Typical expenses covered under the grant include magazine, newspaper, radio, television, billboard and online advertising. The advertising must be purchased between July 1, 2021 and June 30, 2022. Anything not related to advertising, including festival supplies and vendor contracts, is not covered by the grant.
Cities and counties may apply for up to $2,000 in reimbursable two-thirds matching funds.
The deadline to apply for funding is Monday, March 1 at 5 p.m. Applications must be received in the Arkansas Tourism office by this date; postmarked applications will not be accepted.
