The Arkansas State Fair set another daily attendance record over the weekend. 58,375 fairgoers attended on Sunday Oct. 17, making it the largest Sunday attendance in the history of the State Fair.
“The support from our fairgoers has been tremendous,” said interim General Manager Anne Marie Doramus. “We are seeing record numbers of patrons through our gates that are coming to enjoy all that the fair has to offer.”
The previous Sunday attendance record was set in 2019 when 55,595 people came to the fair. Through the first three days of the 2021 State Fair, attendance is more than 14,000 ahead of the 2019 State Fair. (2020’s fair was canceled due to Covid.)
Doramus continued, “The first weekend is always important when gauging how people feel about the event we put on. Our entire staff and marketing partner are working very hard to put a top-notch product in front of our fellow Arkansans.”
Monday is Kiddie Day at the Fair, where kids six and under get in free to ride rides from 9:00am-11:00a.m. It is also $2 Day at the Fair where parking, entrance, and rides are just $2 each. Lunch at the Fair kicks off again this week where fair admission and parking is free from 11:00a.m.-1:00p.m.
