The Arkansas State Capitol will be closed to the public, starting Friday, March 13.
Arkansas Secretary of State John Thurston ordered the Capitol building closed as a response to the coronavirus outbreak. Authorized employees will continue to work in the building during its closure.
According to a news release, the building’s status will be updated as state officials continue to monitor the coronavirus situation.
In addition, the Secretary of State’s office will not accept walk-in visitors to its Business & Commercial Services offices in Little Rock or Fayetteville. However, these services can be conducted by phone or online.
