As the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts (AMFA) prepares for its April 22, 2023 grand opening, the museum has announced a facility rental program.
Located in historic MacArthur Park and situated on 11 acres of biodiverse landscaped grounds, the new AMFA provides the ideal backdrop for private events, weddings, professional meetings and social gatherings. From the outdoor sculptures to the light-filled atrium, the museum offers guests a memorable setting among inspiring art and architecture. Private event spaces are available for bookings with dates beginning May 12, 2023.
Those interested will be able to rent out spaces such as the Cultural Living Room and Atrium. The Cultural Living Room is a multipurpose second-floor space with soaring floor-to-ceiling glass walls that overlook the Courtyard Entrance and the newly landscaped Crescent Lawn. The Atrium is a light-filled 5,270-square-foot space connecting the exhibition and programming areas of the museum. It can accommodate large events and features clerestory windows along triple-height walls.
On the north side of the museum, the Courtyard gives prominence to the museum’s historic Art Deco façade from 1937 with sight-lines to the Crescent Lawn. On the south side of the museum, the Event Lawn presents options for open-air entertaining among beautifully landscaped walking paths and outdoor sculpture.
The Glass Box with Terrace serves as a luminous multipurpose room with access to a private outdoor space. The Performing Arts Theater, Governor Winthrop Rockefeller Lecture Hall, and Terri and Chuck Erwin Collections Research Center also provide event options with state-of-the-art facilities.
