The Arkansas legislature has voted to retain the state’s Medicaid expansion.
The Arkansas House of Representatives voted in favor of keeping the program on Tuesday, April 20. The 78-15 vote approved the Medicaidbudget and expansion program.
After the Arkansas Senate passed Senate Bill 55 on March 29, the measure failed before the House four times on April 13, 14, 15 and 19. The bill provides appropriations for the personal services and operating expenses for the Department of Human Services –Division of Medical Services for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2022.
