The Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub is opening a pop-up makerspace in Springdale that is designed to provide maker and entrepreneur training as well as fun activities for adults and families.
Sponsored by the Walton Family Foundation, the NWA Innovation Hub will run from Sunday, Oct. 26 through Saturday, Nov. 23
During the pop-up, attendees can participate in class and workshops related to ceramics, drones, laser cutting, screen printing, vector design and more. The pop up will also emphasize entrepreneurial endeavors.
Other highlights include a Halloween party and activities at the Mobile Makerspace.
“When you teach someone things they didn’t know—and you provide them with experiences they never had—you can fundamentally transform where they end up in life,” Dr. Christopher Jones, executive director at Winrock’s Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub, said.
The pop-up is also designed to be inclusive of Spanish and Marshallese speakers.
The NWA Innovation Hub pop-up will be held Oct. 26 through Nov. 23 at 302 Holcomb in downtown Springdale. The pop-up will be open 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 1-4 p.m. on Sundays.
