The Arkansas Cinema Society (ACS) is going retro in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
For Filmland 2020, Arkansas Cinema Society will be holding a drive-in film festival in place of its typical theater experience. The festival will be held at MP Outdoor Cinema, located at 6700 Allied Way in Little Rock.
From Oct. 1-4, Filmland will screen films on a 36-foot screen at the 180-car drive-in lot. There will be a rotating lineup of food trucks each night.
At the drive-in, individuals will be required to wear masks whenever they are outside of their vehicles or when windows are rolled down, in addition to maintaining a six-foot distance from other guests.
ACS will also have a “Digital Experience” to expand accessibility for Filmland. As part of the Digital Experience, individuals can have film screened online in their own home. Films as well as the post-screening filmmaker interviews will be available for streaming.
Tickets for the drive-in will be $20 for ACS members and $40 for non-members
An ACS membership is now discounted and is down to $50.
