LITTLE ROCK – The Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau (LRCVB) is pleased to announce the promotion of Mrs. Leigh Anderson to senior director of national accounts, working with associations and corporations in the nation’s eastern region.
In her new role, Anderson directs and manages all business opportunities to build Little Rock’s profile and visibility to groups in the eastern United States. She represents the LRCVB on the national stage at industry-related meetings, conventions, conference, trade shows and special events, working to promote Arkansas’s capital city as a premiere meetings destination.
Anderson joined the LRCVB in 2012 as sales director recruiting business in the state associations and government markets. She has extensive hospitality industry experience having worked in the meetings and sports marketing departments of the Dallas and Plano Convention and Visitors Bureaus. There, she helped plan and execute sporting events like the Big 12 Basketball and Football Championships, USA Weightlifting World Trials and NBA All Star Games in the north Texas region. Her sales background also includes serving six years as the Director of Integrated Marketing and Events for Clear Channel Radio in New Orleans and Baton Rouge where she led a team of over thirty sales executives in event and online sales.
The Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau (LRCVB) is the official destination marketing organization for the City of Little Rock, charged with marketing and selling the city as a meeting, sports and leisure travel destination. The LRCVB also manages the Statehouse Convention Center, Robinson Center, River Market and multiple parking facilities.
