Every year, the Fort Smith-based freight company selects a new load team, which is an elite team of freight professionals from ABF’s service centers, located around the United States.
One individual from Arkansas – Tony King of Little Rock – made the load team.

Established in 1994, the load team is designed to spotlight outstanding performance knowledge of procedures, training and equipment. According to ABF Freight, the team members are selected on the basis of safety records, personal integrity, loading trailers in “optimal fashion,” and involvement in the company’s Quality Process.
“The 2021 ABF Load Team is made up of true professionals who are meticulous in providing a positive customer experience with every single shipment they handle,” ABF Freight vice president of service center operations Andy Upchurch said in a statement. “They have proven to be experts in their field and understand the importance of delivering shipments on time, damage free and intact.
