Fourteen organizations from around the state were recognized by Gov. Asa Hutchinson during the 21st Annual Awards Governor’s Quality Award Program on Sept. 15 at the Marriott Hotel in downtown Little Rock.
More than 300 business and civic leaders from throughout Arkansas attended the celebration. There are four award levels of Performance Excellence (in descending order of qualifications): the Governor’s Award, the Achievement Award, the Commitment Award and the Challenge Award.
North Arkansas College of Harrison took top honors in receiving the Governor’s Award for Performance Excellence.
Achievement Level recipients:
- DD&F Consulting Group, Little Rock
- National Guard Professional Education Center, North Little Rock
- Saline Memorial Hospital, Benton
Commitment Level recipients:
- Central Moloney, Inc., Pine Bluff
- College of the Ouachitas, Malvern
- Gosnell Therapy and Living, Blytheville
- Mountain Meadows Health and Rehabilitation, Batesville
- Shiloh Nursing and Rehabilitation, Springdale
Challenge Level recipients:
- Chapel Woods Health and Rehabilitation, Warren
- DataPath, Inc., Little Rock
- Greystone Nursing and Rehab, Cabot
- Hope’s Creek Retirement & Assisted Living, Van Buren
- Silver Oaks Health and Rehabilitation, Camden
Recipients receive recognition, as well as an in-depth evaluation of their management systems and a feedback report citing strengths and areas for improvement.
The goal of the Governor’s Quality Award Program, which partners with the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce, is to encourage Arkansas organizations to engage in continuous quality improvement, which leads to performance excellence, and to provide significant recognition to those organizations.
Gary Bebow, president and CEO of White River Health Systems, serves as chairman of the board of the Governor’s Quality Award program.
